The mission of the Kansas Association for Play Therapy is to promote, encourage and educate others in the use of play therapy and play therapy techniques to effectively treat mental health issues in people of all ages.
The KSAPT Chapter Bylaws were presented, voted on, and approved on June 20, 2016 during a scheduled Board meeting.
Play Therapy is a form of counseling (or psychotherapy) by which licensed mental health professionals use play-based models and techniques to better communicate with and help clients, especially children, achieve optimal mental health.
